Pumice stones

So I never knew that pumice stones could be used for cleaning. I googled "pumice stone" and nothing about pumice stones as a cleaning tool popped up on the first page.

Now I am excited to use my new pumice stone cleaning too.

last night's dinner

Last night I finally got a chance to try out Chae Bahn. From the first time I saw the menu I knew exactly what I wanted. I'm not sure what the dish is called but it is hot rice topped with fish roe. The beautiful colors from the picture caught my eye and I just had to have it.

The dish was delicious! I absolutly loved the pop and taste of each fish egg. The hot crispy rice gave the dish a different crunch. Adding the sesame oil made everything come together.
Yum! I can't wait to go back and have it again.

The only disappointment I had was the missing salmon roe and sea urchin that was in the picture in the menu.

you scream, i scream for ice cream cake!!!

my first attempt at making ice cream cake.

i think it came out pretty good. sorry no pic of a slice. butter pecan ice cream on the outside, funfetti cake on the inside, and chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream on the inside.

i'm back
